The purpose of the ATP 4.0 project is the development and demonstration of a flexible, AI-supported Industry 4.0 environment for hybrid automotive components in a real production setting. For manufacturers operating in complex supply chains such as the automotive industry, optimal management of resources (labor, material, equipment) is a key competitive factor. The project also represents the development of a new sales program and the diversification of Kolektor ATP into a new market of demanding hybrid components — a market that is opening rapidly with the widespread electrification of vehicles. The project partners will significantly upgrade their competencies for marketing services in the field of industrial digitalization.
The key breakthrough of ATP 4.0 is the integration of advanced machine vision, IoT sensors, collaborative robots, VR/AR, simulation technologies and digital twins, all enhanced with artificial intelligence. We will be able to simulate and anticipate various scenarios in production and business processes, enabling more effective decision-making to mitigate detected and predicted anomalies. Our processes will become more agile.
The long-term business goals of the project are to increase the efficiency of product manufacturing and improve equipment utilization. We will pursue a zero-defect manufacturing strategy and, by introducing collaborative robots, create the conditions for flexible capacity adjustment during product ramp-up and ramp-down phases. A key advantage of our project is that the demonstration will allow us to realistically evaluate the combined impact of AI support on managing business and production processes — a necessary step toward self-adaptive management of smart factories.
The end result will be a flexible, agile and competitive production environment, as well as newly developed and demonstrated Industry 4.0 market products in a real environment for the Kolektor group (digital twin, cobots, machine vision, AI), Viar (VR/AR) and Event Registry (AI). Industry 4.0 solutions have strong market potential.
